UCS testimony to FDA | VMAC testimony
UCS delivered testimony to the FDA's Veterinary Medicine Advisory Committee urging the agency to reject an application that would extend the use of an antibiotic highly important in treating human illness to be widely used in beef cattle, and potentially other livestock and poultry.
Maine Adopts Antibiotics Policy
In May 2006, the State of Maine adopted a policy that gives a purchasing preference to meat produced without unnecessary antibiotics being fed to animals that are not sick.
